A Grade Blocks
Our A grade blocks are excavator cut on 4 sides and naturally split on the other 2 sides. The tolerance of the cuts is + - 15mm making for easy and neat installation. The sandstone itself is extremely hard rated at close to 60 Mpa. This is quite important when sourcing blocks for your walls as they will be exposed to harsh elements and under a lot of load.
B Grade Blocks
Our B grade blocks are excavator cut on all six sides or cut four sides and split on two. These blocks may have chipped corners or not be perfectly dimensional as out Premium Grade blocks but can still be stacked on top of one another. The sandstone itself is extremely hard rated at close to 60 Mpa. This is quite important when sourcing blocks for your walls as they will be exposed to harsh elements and under a lot of load.
Traditionally, the top layers of a quarry have softer stone which is deemed to be unsuitable for production in the quarry and therefore cut and sold as logs. This is not the case with our operations as all of our sandstone is extracted for the purpose of logs only.
With over 40 year's experience in the natural stone and mining industry, we have assessed and sourced only the best sandstones we can find. We've done the research and now are comfortable and confident in supplying only the highest grades of sandstones to our customers.
Just bought a block of land?
Or would you like to level off your yard to provide more usable space for an extension or outdoor living and recreational area?
Our Sandstone logs wont rot, burn, warp or fade and will last all of our harshest conditions.
Our sandstone has been tested for water absorption and salt attack. These are the two fundamental criteria areas which needs to be considered when choosing sandstone logs. Be aware of substandard sandstones being sold as logs as you may find yourself rebuilding your expensive wall!
